Today we have released a new plugin for Elgg 1.8 series which aims in fixing the SEO problems in Elgg. Though Elgg is the best open source social networking platform, it lacks SEO. The new version of Elgg has a better SEO friendly titles than the previous versions. But it was lacking a general metatags and metadescriptions feature. The new galliElggSeo plugin from Team Webgalli is to fix this defect and much more.
Feature list
- This plugin will create metatags and metadescriptions for your Elgg site automatically from the tags and excerpt of post details.
- It works with all default elgg plugins and allmost all standard third party plugins which has tags and description in their content creation pages.
- The tags are automatically converted to metatags for SEO’s and 160 character lengthy excerpts are taken from descriptions for SEO metadescription.
- Site admin can add default metadescription and metatags.
